New Shows Added

Philadelphia Soul Pregame Saturday, June 2 vs. Orlando Predators. Ticket price includes a special pregame MA performance, and a lower level ticket to the game. Show starts at 6, game at 7. This is a rare all-ages event, so bring the kids and show them how rock and roll is meant to be!

McStew's show is with our dear friends Metalgodz (Judas Priest tribute) and Thunderstruck (AC/DC tribute). Mane Attraction will be performing a special set in recognition of two of our favorites: Motley Crue and Poison

Things are starting to evolve and gel nicely in the MA camp. New songs are being added regularly and the band is sounding better than ever! After a small rough spot, the future is looking to be extremely bright! Come be a part of it!

A New Year

Hello Friends, and "Happy New Year" to all. Our sincerest apologies to anyone who was affected by the cancellation of our fall schedule. As some of you know, a large section of our PA was stolen this combined with a personnel change that had to be made, left us with no choice but to cancel some shows. We do our best to play through most situations, but this time was a little tougher to overcome.

We are currently in the the midst of getting everyone refreshed, refocused, and ready to push forward into 2012. Everyone involved has agreed that 2012 has to be a return to the originial focus of MA over-the-top high energy rock and roll with the showmanship to match! Be on the watch for some new demo videos, new tunes on the song list, as well as new show dates.

Hello Friends!

Summer vacation is almost over! We are in final preparations to make Fall 2011 one of the most exciting times in the band's history. We have alot of great things on tap for the remainder of the year, as well as a bright 2012.

Mane Attraction has taken this time off to sharpen its focus, and to return to the form, spirit, and dedication of the band's early days.Back is the energy, the lights, the outrageousness that make MA shows an event that needs to be witnessed.

Of course, during the break, we've added some new songs. In addition to a mix of hard rock favorites, we've decided to dedicate a full set during selected shows to New Jersey's favorite sons, Bon Jovi. In recognition of the 25th anniversary of the band's landmark "Slippery When Wet" cd, we will celebrate one of the band's that has not only shaped MA, but rock and roll as a whole!

Not everything in the MA camp has been wine and roses during the break. Vocalist "Metal" Mike Yosko has decided to go into semi-retirement. We wish Mike well in whatever he decides to do. Also, our drummer Wayne Magee has blown out his knee from rocking too hard! While Wayne is on the mend, we will be joined by MA alumnus (and newest "Secret Weapon") George Almond.

We look forward to seeing you all starting October 7 at the Rocking Stone.

Jani Lane 1964-2011

Jani Lane -- former lead singer of the rock band Warrant -- was found dead at a hotel in L.A. Thursday, August 11, 2011. Lane's body was discovered at the Comfort Inn hotel in Woodland Hills, CA. So far, no official cause of death has been released. Lane famously penned the band's biggest hits "Cherry Pie" "Down Boys", "Uncle Tom's Cabin", "I Saw Red" and "Heaven", before eventually leaving the band to pursue a solo career. Lane was 47.

Featuring live bands, food vendors, and a silent auction table with autographed items from the team, owner Ron Jaworski and other Philadelphia sports teams. Kids can enjoy inflatable rides and games. Other events include: Your chance to mingle with Soul players, coaches and Soulmates. The Soul will also be holding a Merchandise Blowout Sale for fans to bring home their favorite Soul gear.

Five world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will be making a special appearance at Summer Slam.

Fans are invited to continue the celebration with players and Soulmates at the post event party at the Boardwalk Bar and Grill (3500 Atlantic Ave) from 4-6 p.m. Food and drink specials will be available.

Things have been busy in the MA labs, adding new songs and ideas to the band. It's a very fun and exciting time right now, with a lot of fun and surprises on the way. We look forward to bringing you along for the party.

The next few weeks have us jumping into some uncharted territory. On April 23, MA plays the Doghouse in Upper Darby. Hmmm…can't be too far from the Tower Theater. Bowie recorded at the Tower. Alice Cooper has played there, TSO, Jeff Beck, Kiss, Plant-many of rock's royalty…should be a great time.

We used to play the Ashton years ago, and the people always did right by us. Help us give the new owner, Dan, the launch that he deserves!

Things have been moving quite a bit as of late in the MA camp. Sometimes it's all you can do just to try and keep up! We have had a great streak of shows that we will be building on… new tunes coming up, old chestnuts we'll be reviving, maybe even some new merch in the works.

First off, on behalf of the band, Thank you for your support and your feedback (good and bad). We appreciate it and grow from it!

Wow, did we feel an awesome welcome from the staff and patrons at the Toad Fish. Even with a later start than scheduled, the crowd stayed with us, sing and dancing along all night. Absolutely great to see in a new room. Makes us even more excited to return to the Toad Fish on May 19 for their special mid-week outdoor concert series. These are earlier shows (7-11), and outside. Come experience Mane Attraction under the stars (along with all the smoke and lights that we'll bring along).

On April 2, we returned to one of our favorite rooms, the O'Towne Tavern in Oreland. Always a warm welcome. On this night, it was especially jumpy, as at midnight, a class reunion invaded the bar inundating us with requests. We were more than happy to oblige (so what if we played a few tunes twice). A big thanks to Donny Rocket for sitting in on bass.

April 9th marked our long awaited return to DelCo, and Hunt's Annex. We have played there a few times in the past, usually with our friends in Posein'. Well, this time, it was just us on our own. The staff and patrons of Hunt's were extremely welcoming and generous. We look forward to our return soon! On a side note, we were able to raise over $200 for Michael Bretts (Posein' singer), who was recently injured. Thanks to all our friends and sponsors who donated some fantastic prizes.

Thanks to everyone who came out to The Pike Tavern last Friday night. We had a fantastic turnout, and look forward to returning soon. Special thanks to Brian and the staff at the Pike for being so accommodating!

We brought out some new tunes as well for this one, as well as blew the dust from some tunes we haven't done in a while. More new tunes are in development and will be coming soon. Requests? Send them through to the contact page.

Special thanks to Kelly Yorgey from "Seattle's Nightmare" for singing on "You Shook Me All Night Long", as well as MA Alumni George Almond (drums on "Living On A Prayer" & "You Give Love A Bad Name") and Chris Giordano (Vocals & guitar on impromptu jam of "Cold Gin" and "Shout It Out Loud").

Our beloved bassist, Steve "Bones" Smith has requested a medical hiatus from the band. As much as he will be missed, it is more important to us to have a healthy Bones, than no Bones at all. Three years in the trenches is a long time, and it affects people differently. We respect his wishes, and want nothing but the best for him.

It's about time, as the old site hadn't been updated in years. We cannot thank Vince at Jakeass Productions Z'nuff for all his work putting this place together. Cheers!

What does 2011 bring for MA? A reinvigorated band, a whole lot of new tunes, some new venues, and in general a whole lot of ass-kickery! We're starting the year at a new venue, The Pike on 2/25! Looking forward to seeing a bunch of our friends from the nearby Cherrywood.

2011 also renews our affiliation with the Philadelphia Soul. We will be performing at two games this year (tickets available here), plus a few other events. Stay tuned for details.
