We know that it has been a while since our last update. Things have been busy, so let's get to it...

Special thanks to our new friends that we met in July at The Wharf Tavern. Why haven't we played Delaware County sooner? The crowd that came out was extremely receptive and vocal. We look forward to seeing them (and some new friends) when Mane Attraction returns to The Wharf on November 2.

Then last week was our trip west to York, and a return trip to The Red Rose Lounge. We've said it before, and we'll say it again, these people come out to PARTY!!! We played through  39 songs, and the bar wasn't ready to go home yet! Many of the people who saw us at The Red Rose in May came back and brought friends, so I guess we're doing something right. We'll see you in October. Stay tuned for details (Halloween Party, anyone?).

If you have made it out to one of these shows, you may have noticed a new face standing at stage right. Mitch Bradford has been helping us out on guitar. There aren't enough great things that we can say about Mitch, as he has come in on short notice, and has perfomed like a champ. Mitch will be helping us out until we can find a full-time guitarist.

That being said, Mane Attraction is looking for a full-time co-lead guitarist. See our Myspace page (www.myspace.com/maneattractionband) for details, and to arrange an audition.

On Saturday, August 11, Mane Attraction makes our first trip south to the state of Delaware, as we invade Gator's. Gator's is located at 519 E. Basin Rd, in the city of Newcastle. Newcastle is only a short jump from Philly and South Jersey, so we look forward to seeing some familiar faces coming along for the trip. We've heard great things about Gator's and the rockers of Delaware, and we look forward to rocking with them and making some new friends. Showtime is at 10.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us at Whiskey Dix. As always, we has a great time seeing some long time friendsand playing for them (JR, relax, there is some White Lion coming up!) We also made some new friends in Angry Vic, who we shared the stage with and look forward to doing so again soon!

Special thanks to Chris Romano for filling in on drums at the last minute. He did an admirable job for us, and is always a welcome member of the family. Cheers to you!

We also had a blast getting Jerry and Rick from Kissteria to come up and jam with us. Kissteria has been a long time supporter of Mane Attraction, as well as being a fantastic Kiss tribute band.

We'll see you at The Wharf Tavern on July 14, for our first show in Delaware County. The Wharf is located in The Valley View Shopping Center, 4936 Pennell Rd, Aston , PA. The show starts at 10.

MAY 25, 2007

As some of you may have heard by now, The Hollywood Bistro has closed its doors. It is with a heavy heart that we bring this up, as The Bistro has served as a home club for us. It was where we began to build what has become Mane Attraction. The Bistro was the first club to give us a chance to headline, and for that we will always be grateful. We wish the staff of the Bistro nothing but the best in their future endeavours, and to let them know that they are missed.

All that being said, we are currently pursuing other clubs in the same area. Stay tuned, and as soon as we find a club to replace the Bistro, we will let you know immediately.

Speaking of new clubs, our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to see us at The Red Rose Lounge in York, PA. The only word that comes to mind is WOW!!!!!!!! Our new friends came to party, and party they did, singing and dancing from the first song, until the end! When we reached the end, we even threw in a few songs that we hadn't rehearsed, and repeated a request from the first set! We were invited back for July 28, and look forward to heading out west again.

Not to be forgotten is the reason we were in York to begin with. Special thanks to the Walk 4 Vets organization for getting us everything we needed for the show, even expanding the stage. These gus are a class act, providing support for U.S. troops, past and present. Check them out, and become a friend: http://www.myspace.com/walk4vets. If you have any  questions, or wish to share some support, contact Mark, walk4vets@hotmail.com.

Other shows coming up include:
June 8   Whiskey Dix Saloon, with our new friends, Angry Vic
July 14   The Wharf Tavern in Aston, PA (new room in DelCo)
July 28   The Red Rose Lounge in York, PA

We thank you in advance for your support. Summer shows are coming around the corner. Stay tuned for updates.

April 29, 2007

First off, April, Amber, and I would like to Thank You all for the warm wishes and congratulations for our new Baby Boy Michael John!  He's a real bundle of joy!  Now onto business............

Come out and support the troops by seeing Mane Attraction!

Saturday, May 19, Mane Attraction will be playing a special benefit show for "Walk For Vets", an organization that supplies much needed support for U.S. troops, past and present. The last fundraiser bought phonecards and some other supplies to help the soldiers feel a little closer to home. Check them out, and become a friend: http://www.myspace.com/walk4vets.

This show is at the Red Rose Lounge: 5370 Lincoln Hwy, York, PA 17406. we know that this is much further west than we normally play (a little over an hour from Philly), but it's for a good cause, and with the Vets having other activities going on, there is plenty to do during the day. We are also hoping to see some of our new myspace friends in the York, reading, Lancaster, and Harrisburg areas. We'll hit the stage at 9:30.

Advance tickets are available from the Vets, or at the Red Rose for $3. Tickets will be $5 at the door. You may also request tickets at maneattractionba@aol.com.

We thank you in advance for your support. Summer shows are coming around the corner. Stay tuned for updates.

Attention New Jersey Rockers!!!!

Mane Attraction takes over the Cherrywood Lounge Saturday April 7, at 10PM for three sets of hard rock classics. We played the Cherrywood for the first time in February, and had such a good time, we had to get back there as soon as we could!
For those of you on the PA side, the Cherrywood is only 15 minutes over the Walt Whitman bridge (see the schedule page for directions).
Once again, we will be playing some new songs that are destined to become favorites!
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Hollywood Bistro last week. It was good to see that we weren't forgotten during our time away. We introduced some new tunes, and as always had a blast. Keep your eyes open for a return date soon.
Thank you all for the support and we hope to see you at the show.
Cheers,
Shakey, Ray, Timmy, Laurence, and Butch

Please be patient with us as we re-launch the "New and Improved" ManeAttraction.net.

Thanks again for your support and we look forward to seeing you at a show soon. Our first show of 2007 is our return to South Jersey, at the Cherrywood, on February 10.

Mane Attraction

Hello friends,

Things continue to be busy in the Mane Attraction camp!

Thankfully, the search for a full-time guitar player is over! We all would like to welcome Laurence to the band as our new guitarist. Well, new is kind of an overstatement, as he had played with an early version of the band. Regardless, we'd like to welcome him back to the family. Laurence played his first show with the band last month at the Bistro to rave reviews, and we look forward to more in the months to come!

For more on Laurence, check out the bio page.

On a related note, the band would like to thank Brian for his contributions to the band, and wish him well in his future endeavours. Keep an eye out for his original band Cryonic coming soon!

The sound samples that were promised in the last update are in the final stages of mixing, and should be up ASAP. For those who have never seen Mane Attraction live, these song samples should give you a little taste of what we do.

As of now, we have two shows scheduled for December. On the first, we return to the familiar stomping grounds of the Hollywood Bistro. On December 2, MA returns to New Jersey, with our first date at the Cherrywood Lounge. Keep an eye on the schedule page for details and updates.

Thank you all for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the shows!

October 14, 2006 - UPDATES...

Hello friends,

Sorry that it has been a while since the last update. Things have been busy in the Mane Attraction camp.

We are working on a few short audio clips for the web page. Since we can not post samples on myspace, these will be exclusive to www.maneattractionband.net. We will rotate these soundclips and samples pretty regularly, so you'll be able to sample different songs that we are doing.

On Friday night, we debuted two new songs. "Living On A Prayer" and "Nothin' But A Good Time". These were easily the two songs that we have heard requested most at our shows. If you wish to make a song suggestion, please fell free to email us, maneattractionba@aol.com, or send us a message through the myspace page, http://www.myspace.com/maneattractionband We are continuously looking to expand the playlist and bring you as many of the '80s hard rock classics as we can.

Our next show is Saturday, October 21 at the Hollywood Bistro. We'll be playing two sets of songs you know and love. For those of you who have seen the band before, we are going to be doing quite a few songs we have never played there before. Stop on by and scream along!

To paraphrase David Lee Roth, "If you like what you see, tell a friend. If you don't, tell two".

Thank you for all your support and look forward to seeing you on the 21st!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After many false starts and attempts, www.maneattractionband.net finally launches. Thanks for checking us out, and please feel free to stop back soon and often, as we continue to update and build our little corner of the web.

For those of you who are wondering, Mane Attraction is a five piece band based in Northeast Philadelphia. The band is dedicated to recreating the concert experience of a mid-80's arena rock band (I guess you could call it "hair metal", although Aqua Net never played a damned note!), but on a club level. For those that were there, it's a chance to relive a glorious time. For those that weren't, it's a chance to experience the best of an era!

Keep your eyes on the schedule page for shows coming to an area near you.

Thanks for checking out the page and hope to see you soon!
